Privacy Policy

MARSHALL MEDIA INC. (“MMI”) respects your privacy. When using our Web site (the “MMI Web Site”), you may get information, access online products and services, communicate with us or link to other Web sites with which we do business. While doing that, you may give us information so that we can provide enhanced products or services to you and to personalize your experience on the MMI Web Site. This online privacy policy describes how we use and protect Personally Identifiable Information that you share with us (“PII”).

MMI is the sole owner of the PII collected on the MMI Web Site. We will not use or disclose this information to others in ways different from what is stated in this Privacy Policy. Our Privacy Policy may change within our sole discretion from time to time, so please revisit this Privacy Policy from time to time to be sure that you are familiar with the then-current policy.

Please be advised that these principles do not govern Web sites of other parties to which we may provide only links, as MMI is not responsible for, and can not control the privacy practices or content of, those third party Web sites.

Information Collection and Use:

  • MMI collects PII when you register for an MMI account or use MMI products or services for the following purposes:
    • to deliver the products and services you or your company have ordered for your use from MMI;
    • to maintain accounting and billing contact information and other financial records;
    • to customize the advertising and content you see; and
    • to contact you regarding our services unless you elected not to receive these communications.
  • When you register with MMI as a customer, we ask for your name, email address, physical address, telephone numbers, and similar contact information, plus, in some cases, credit card information or other financial information when you order services on-line. Moreover, you may be asked to provide additional information such as birth date, gender, occupation, industry, and personal interests. Some of our customers may use MMI services to provide private broadcasts, such as internal training Webcasts, which will require the participants to register prior to attending the broadcast, as well.
  • MMI also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, MMI cookie information and the pages you requested.
  • MMI routinely collects information that cannot be identified to a particular individual such as time-stamps and logs events (such as features used, length of viewing, etc.) This data is used for accounting/billing purposes as well as for performance and optimization of the MMI services.

Retention and Relevance:

  • MMI may use and retain your PII when you use certain MMI products or services and when you visit MMI pages, as applicable. MMI may also receive PII from our business partners.
  • MMI typically retains the PII that it collects only for the period of time such information is required to achieve the purposes set forth above, subject to any applicable regulatory or audit requirements (e.g. financial records may be retained for a longer period to satisfy audit requirements).
  • MMI uses and retains only your PII which is directly relevant to the purpose for which it is collected. This information is retained as you provide it but will be updated when you notify us of changes in order to maintain its accuracy.

Information Sharing and Disclosure:

  • MMI will not sell or rent your PII to anyone.
  • MMI will send PII about you to other companies or people only when:
    • We have your consent to share the information;
    • We need to share your information to provide the product or service you have requested;
    • We need to send the information to companies who work on behalf of MMI to provide a MMI product or service or to otherwise assist MMI with its business activities. (Unless we tell you otherwise, these companies do not have any right to use the PII we provide to them beyond what is necessary to assist us and are required to safeguard PII and not to disclose PII to others);
    • We respond to subpoenas, court orders or legal process; or
    • We find that your actions on our Web site violate the MMI Terms and Conditions of Use.

You have the ability to direct MMI to edit, correct or erase your PII , at any time. To request such account maintenance send your email request to legal@marshallmediainc.com. Following your request for data editing, your information will be changed in MMI’s data bases after we receive the information necessary to process your request.

Confidentiality:

  • Service Design and Technology. The MMI media transmission environment is designed similarly to a television broadcast system. Once the transmission is over the content of the transmission is not retained by MMI unless the customer specifically requests that the content be recorded and stored. MMI uses industry standard and/or its own proprietary technology to protect PII and recorded content.
  • Further, the only means to participate in a private transmission is through the MMI registration and access process, which should include a password for each transmission. MMI strongly recommends that all private transmissions be protected by passwords. In addition, the host has full control over attendee presence and may eject unwanted participants or lock a transmission to prevent additional participants.
